Glimz is an independent health and wellness application published by RedFrontDoor. We believe personal health data belongs entirely to you. We don't ask for personal information unless it is necessary to deliver core features, we don't share or sell your data to advertisers or data brokers, and your health metrics remain stored securely on your device unless you explicitly choose to share them with others.

1. What Glimz Reads & Writes in Apple Health

With your explicit permission, Glimz reads the following metric categories from Apple HealthKit to render your live dashboard, energy levels, sleep recharge analysis, and cycle insights:

  • Heart & Vitals: Heart rate, Heart Rate Variability (HRV), resting heart rate, respiratory rate, blood oxygen (SpO2), wrist and body temperature, and high/low/irregular rhythm events.
  • Sleep & Recovery: Sleep analysis (awake, core, deep, and REM sleep stages).
  • Activity & Load: Daily step counts, distance, flights climbed, active and basal calories, exercise minutes, stand hours, VO₂ max, and recorded workouts.
  • Cycle Tracking: Menstrual flow, cycle days, and related symptoms.
  • Mindfulness: Mindful minutes and relaxation sessions.

Optionally, if enabled, Glimz may write logged mindful minutes or energy metrics back to Apple Health to keep your wellness ecosystem synchronized. You can manage or revoke these permissions at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Glimz.

2. How Apple Health Data is Processed

All HealthKit data is processed 100% locally on your iPhone to compute your energy timeline, sleep recovery metrics, strain and stress ratings, and cycle predictions. Glimz strictly adheres to Apple's HealthKit Developer Guidelines: HealthKit data is never used or disclosed to third parties for advertising, marketing, profiling, or data-mining purposes.

3. Wellness Journal & Custom Routines

Glimz includes an optional wellness journal where you can log symptoms, energy levels (1–10), mood ratings, medications, dietary habits, and personal notes. These entries are stored exclusively on your device using iOS's sandboxed, encrypted app storage. You can export your journal as an open JSON file at any time using the iOS system share sheet, giving you complete data portability.

4. Voluntary Partner & Friend Sharing

Glimz allows you to optionally share high-level wellness summaries, generated daily visual cards, or partner dashboard profiles with trusted loved ones, coaches, or caregivers. All sharing is 100% voluntary, user-initiated, and direct. Glimz does not broker, aggregate, or monetize shared health profiles.

5. Apple Reminders Integration (Labs)

When using the optional Smart Movement Nudges feature in Glimz Labs, the app accesses Apple Reminders via EventKit solely on your device to distinguish sedentary tasks from active tasks. Glimz reads task titles locally to suggest timely stretch breaks. Glimz never modifies, deletes, or transmits your reminder items.

6. Storage, Cloud, and Data Retention

Your health and journal data resides on your iPhone for as long as Glimz is installed. Standard encrypted iOS backups (iCloud or local Mac/PC backups) protect your data just like any standard iOS app. Uninstalling Glimz permanently removes all local app containers from your device. We maintain no external database or servers containing your personal health logs.

7. Zero Third-Party Trackers & Zero Ads

Glimz contains no third-party analytics trackers, no marketing SDKs, and no tracking scripts. We do not use the Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt because we do not track you across apps or websites.

8. Children's Privacy

Glimz is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this Policy

Any updates to this Privacy Policy will be posted directly to this page with an updated date. Meaningful changes will also be highlighted in App Store update notes.
